At this juncture of salvation history, we believe this is the Filipino's new evangelistic kairos. This is "Our Kairos" to rise up and boldly proclaim to our nation, Asia, and the world the joy, hope, and truth of the Gospel.
Our Kairos' mission is to help the faith communities of the Philippines fulfill the purpose we are all created for, which is to know, love, and serve the Lord. Our focus is to help them be evangelizers of the new millennium and to take our faith to a whole new level.
Operating as a non-profit apostolate, we raise awareness and funds to purchase faith formation materials from quality organizations. We then distribute the resources free of charge to and partner with parishes and faith communities in the Philippines, who serve as the primary formation facilitators.
On January 15, 1995 Saint John Paul II the Great at the closing mass of the 10th World Youth Day in Manila, Philippines ended his homily with this call, "Dear people of God in the Philippines, go forth in the power of the Holy Spirit to renew the face of the earth - your own world first, your families, your communities and the nation to which you belong and which you love; and the wider world of Asia, toward which the church in the Philippines has a special responsibility before the Lord; and the world beyond, working through faith for the renewal of God's whole creation. May God who began this work in you - 400 years ago - bring to completion in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ".
Then, almost twenty years later to the day, on January 18, 2015, Pope Francis reiterated the call in his homily at the mass in Rizal Park, Manila with this exhortation, "The Apostle tells us that because God chose us, we have been richly blessed! God "has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens" (Eph 1:3). These words have a special resonance in the Philippines, for it is the foremost Catholic country in Asia; this is itself a special gift of God, a blessing. But it is also a vocation. Filipinos are called to be outstanding missionaries of the faith in Asia… May the Santo Nino continue to bless the Philippines and sustain the Christians of this great nation in their vocation to be witnesses and missionaries of the joy of the Gospel, in Asia and in the whole world."
